First Times (2)

Today I was asked by my boss if I’d want to do the art direction for an image film, which our company will produce throughout April and May. I instantly said yes and that I’d be really excited to be part of this project. Now, one thing is that I ‘ve never done art direction before as I work as a writer for documentary films most of the time. The other thing is that the film will be produced with animation and a lot of 3D modeling. And that’s another area in which I’ve only very very basic knowledge of. I’d say that this IS a major challenge for me, since I even don’t know what the state of the art of animation and motion graphics is. As always when I’m beginning a new project I wonder what I’ve gotten myself into, I feel a bit overwhelmed, I imagine all the possible obstacles and failures I might run into. I dread the unknown fields I will be entering.

I have to work on my positive thinking, I know.
